We’re sharing a couple shelfie inspos because who doesn’t love a good shelfie? As well as a list of books including some other favourites and some books we’ve had our eye on. There are just too many feel good love, hugs, and cuddle books out there!
Robot in Love
By T.L. McBeth
Robot falls in love the moment he lays eyes on her. “She was so shiny” … and he thought about her all day. He wanted to say something but was too shy and nervous. Will he work up the courage to talk to her? Are they meant to be? A sweet story with lovely illustrations all in red, pink, grey, black and white.
Hug Machine
By Scott Campbell
A little boy who believes he is the Hug Machine. Cute, right? No one is too big or too small to receive a hug. At the end fo the day when he is exhausted from hugging everyone so much, all he needs is a hug from mom. One of our favourite pages is the illustrated map of his daily hug route!
Love Is
By Diane Adams
Illustrated by Claire Keane
A little girl and her love for a little duckling. A beautifully illustrated book that tells a sweet story about love and care as they learn that love is as much about letting go as it is about holding on.
This is NOT a Valentine
By Carter Higgins
Illustrated by Lucy Ruth Cummins
This is NOT a Valentine. It’s really not because it doesn’t come with dozens of flowers, or fancy jewelry, or fancy cursive letters but it does come with lots of other cute and quirky treasures from the heart. Maybe it is sort of a Valentine … you can decide! A truly adorable story about love!
Plant a Kiss
By Amy Krouse Rosenthal
Illustrated by Peter H. Reynolds
"Little Miss, planted a kiss…” Currently our FAVOURITE book. It’s on repeat every night. We promise you will know this rhyming Little Miss book off by heart in no time. It’s a library must-have in our books :)
